This Winchester manufactured second variation (trigger) guard assembly is for the model 12 slide action shotgun which does not have the cartridge guide attached to the carrier and is in very good condition exhibiting mixture of thinning original blue finish and a grayish brown patina with honest wear. second variation trigger guard assemblies differ from the first variation in that it will have a late variation hammer and differs from the third variation in that it will have an early variation action slide lock assembly however  the first three variations should each be interchangeable with each other. photo)
